Hiron Ju, who grew up and left the Delta, was attracted to return on the historic occasion of the dedication of an historic marker at the site of the Cleveland Chinese Mission School.  He posted on his blog about this joyous celebration and reunion of members from this community from a distant era.

I lived in the mission school building from 1964 through 1967 when my father,Rev. Chee Wu, was the pastor of the Chinese Baptist Church next door. I attended Margaret Green Junior HS and Cleveland HS through the 11th grade until we moved to Memphis. I have fond memories of growing up in Cleveland after have moved from San Francisco. The onion rings at Bob's Drive In across the street were and remain the best I've ever had!
